Consecrator:
In the name of God, the Father, the Man and the Holy Spirit,

All: Amen

Consecrator:
To Almighty God, Let us Pray...
Through the teachings of our Dark Father, the Centurion Longinus,
who did reveal the Divinity of Christ,
And through the guidance of Vashtisael,
who did reveal unto Longinus our Purpose in God's Plan,
In the tradition of Saint Monachus, St. Daniel and all our Dark Saints,
tonight we come before You to mark the devotion of one of our own to his role in the Church.

(N.), please step forward.

May the Lord be with you.

Annointee: And also with you.

Consecrator:
As we all contemplate our Purpose and mission,
let us proclaim the Commandments given unto the Damned by Longinus:

All: (muttered just audibly by the Consecrator and Co-Consecrator, spoken fully by the Annointee)

One, That though you are Damned, your Damnation has purpose. It is the will of God that you are what you are, and the will of God is that the Damned exist to show the evils of turning from Him. The evil become Damned; God has taken those worthy of His love to His own side.

Two, That what you once were is not what you now are. As a mortal is a sheep, so are the Damned wolves among them. That role is defined by nature — wolves feed on their prey, but they are not cruel to them. The role of predator is natural, even if the predator himself is not.

Three, That an ordained hierarchy exists. As man is above beasts, so are the Damned above men. Our numbers are fewer so that our purpose is better effected.

Four, That with the power of Damnation comes limitation. The Damned hide among those who still enjoy God's love, making themselves known only to exemplify fear. The Damned shall make none of their own, for such is a judgment of soul that is the purview only of God. The Damned shall suffer yet more should they slay a fellow to take his soul from him.

Five, That our bodies are not our own. Our purpose is to serve, and when we stray from that purpose, we are to be chastened. The light of the sun excoriates; the flames of a fire purify fleshy evil. The taste of all sustenance other than Vitae is as ash upon the tongue.

Consecrator:
Do you believe in the One True God, Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth?
Annointee: I do.

Co-Consecrator:
Do you believe in the Divine Purpose of the Kindred as revealed to us by the Dark Father?
Annointee: I do.

Consecrator:
Do you pledge to uphold and spread the Scriptures as recorded by St. Monachus, and the teachings of his Church?
Annointee: I do.

Co-Consecrator: Do you swear to hold dear the Traditions, laws and community of the Sanctified, and to work each night to bring more Kindred to their Holy Purpose?
Annointee: I do.

Consecrator:
Do you swear to ever give the utmost care to the souls in your trust, to make a principle of that trust, and a study of that care?
Annointee: I do.

Consecrator:
Let us pray.
Lord, we know that our sins make us unworthy of your light and grace, yet we thank you for the guidance of Longinus and the community of his church. Through our Saints and the Host, we pray for Strength and Wisdom for all Sanctified.

As this Damned stands before you, I ask for your hand and the wisdom of the Dark Father to guide him. Gird his faith, O Lord, as he deepens his service to your Sanctified Church. Sister, please administer the Curate's Oath.

Co-Consecrator: (Co-consecrator says the oath line by line, followed by the annointee in affirmation, while the Consecrator prepares the materials for Annointing.)

I swear, upon the trust of my congregation,
That their growth in the Testament,
And better understanding of their Purpose,
Shall ever guide my actions as their (T.).
I swear, upon the strength of my congregation,
That humility will guide me when I must seek answers for them beyond myself,
And that I will provide what aid and guidance I can to Sanctified leaders elsewhere,
For the solidarity and strength of the Church everywhere.

Consecrator:
Now, receive the Blood of our faith, sustained by our predations, made Holy by our Purpose.

(The annointee should step forward as the Consecrator raises a ceremonial blade and holds it at his own wrist, over a candle. The annointee must cup his hand over the flame (1 agg) while the Consecrator and any Co-Consecrators use the blade to pour a few drops of their blood into the annointee's hand. As the blood is poured and the flesh burned, the Consecrator and Co-Consecrator say the following.)

Yet a curse it is, and we embrace our Damnation that we may live out its Purpose.

(The following is said as the Consecrator and Co-Consecrator each bless and then dip two fingers in the blood held by the annointee and marks a spear upon: his cheek by Co-Conspirator to recognize him as Curate, and his forehead by Consecrator to recognize him as Rector.)

Now, thou art Annointed, Curatus, invested in the care of your Diocese and the aid of others,
In the name of God, and faith in the teachings of his servant Longinus,
Bear the Cursed Blood of Holy Purpose, and be Sanctified.

Annointee: In deference to His will and your blessing, I serve.

Consecrator: In Blood and Fire, bliss and bane, know now that you are Damned.
Now, go forth, empowered by your dedication and faith,
And lead to their Purpose and Faith those in your Purview.
And, as always, give a taste of hell to the kine who deserve it.
For all - better here than forever in Hell.

In Blood and Fire,
Through Faith
In the name of
God the Father,
God the Man,
and God the Spirit,

All: Amen.
