Callings
From LanceaSanctum
Creed is a particular doctrine of belief, and factions are the expressions of those beliefs. Callings are specific roles that an individual Sanctified plays in order to express his beliefs and philosophy. In service to God, each Sanctified follows a path of service, a job in effect.
Sanctified may also take on specific offices within the covenant in following their personal paths. A title can be more a recognition of past work than a single job or calling. Individuals with different callings can fill the same office. Titles remain important within the coveant in recognizing and respecting those who who have followed their chosen path.

[edit] Titles
Clergy are anointed and ordained officers of the Lancea Sanctum. Laymen are typically not anointed and may not perform Apostolica. Most kindred join the covenant to become clergy, but a few choose to remain laymen. They can gain status as laity, but not holding higher offices does limit their ability to do so.
