Cardinal Valeron Mayne is a striking looking young man, that displays the manicured features of aristocratic Northern European. Long blonde hair tied back with a red ribbon and pale skin. However... deep black eyes, instead of blue, greet those who look to him.
He is hardly ever seen wearing anything aside from his styled black Cassick... which is fitted and flows down to the floor.
Likewise he is seen always walking with a black cane, though he has no troubles walking, that displays a silver claw gripping a rose quartz sphere.
Due to his centuries of age his mannersims range from slow and purposeful (boring?) to erratic and unnerving. There is always a hint of predator in his movements or glares around the room... his sheer force of presence is hard to ignore.

One of the staunchest Monachal followers on the Globe, not much is known of Valeron Mayne within the Lancea Sanctum before the late 1600's/early 1700's in Northern Italy. He was well known in Venice around this time as a hedonistic Daeva, hosting many parties and being a member of one of the infamous "Hellfire" clubs at the time. Its rumoured that in the early 1700's he and the now Cardinal Archbishop Mackenzie DuMont met through one of these parties... a union some say went far deeper, something that influenced Valeron to consider the Lancea Sanctum.
What happened has only ever remained between the two of them, but what is known is that Valeron joined the Lancea Sanctum late in the 1700's... decades after he and Mackenzie had long since moved on from each others company. Valerons first few decades within the Lancea Sanctum were quite ones, and infact, no record exists for 30 years of his time with the Lancea Sanctum in the early 1800's save a tomb reference. All that is whispered is that he met privately with the most dreaded Inquisitor of the time, Abidan. At Valerons request or Abidans? It is not known for certain.
What is known is that Valeron surfaced in the mid 1800's in Rome, a far darker and more serious individual. Staunch Monachal amd staunch Hardliner... however, those of the Rome Lancea Sanctum were surprised in Valerons tactics with the general Kidnred populace, as he won many coutriers over to the Lancea Sanctum by feeding them honey sweet words of acceptance and tolerance... keeping his fanatacism to the Covenant at large.
Valerons success in swaying others soon led him to the role of a missionary, and he travelled from the Italian states and extensively through Spain on his missionary cause. Largely based in the city of Madrid, Valeron was often known in the surrounds as the "Mendicant du Madrid". During this time he influence, orchestrated, and converted many Kindred to the Lancea Sanctum. His missionary days soon ended when a battle broke out between the Lancea Sanctum and the Crone of Madrid... details are sketchy as to what precisely happened, however, at the end only Valeron and his Bishop were standing...
Valerons efforts then went into re-establishing the sanctified of Madrid... some say begrudgingly. something which he accomplished in small measure before he again set out for Mexico, and then the Americas, through to England, and then to Australia where he claimed the title of Bishop in the city of Canberra.
Valeron has resided in Canberra as the Bishop, mostly unchallenged, for over 3 decades.
He is a well known Bishop throughout the lands of Terra Australis - personally meeting almost the entirety of the Sanctified of the Country over a period of the last 3 or 3 years. He has also created a chambers by which the Bishops of Australia may conduct business behind safe doors and away from prying eyes.
Valeron is well known for his outspoken words on those who go against the Tenents or Canons of Longinus - and especially for those he considers exploiting the faith for their own self aggrandising agendas. This led to the entire nation of Australia declaring the initial formation of the Curia Cruentus as a Heresy... as 6 American Cardinals tried to claim rulership of the Globe. A declaration that saw much of the Lancea Sanctum outside of the Americas - and outside the reach of the 6 Curia Cardinals - agree with.
After months of private discussion with several of the Cardinals, and a change in Curia mandates, Australia joined the Curia Cruentus with both Bishop Valeron and Bishop Gabriel O'Bannon as speakers. It is still widely known that he has little love for the Body he is on nor half the Cardinals who claim membership, and that he still disagree's with the Curias charter to a degree... and any attempt to justify the Curia against the precepts of the Covenant are quickly destroyed by Valerons verbal barrage of flawless knowledge in the Covenants lores.
Of late, the anachronistic Valeron has come to dislike the modern world... particularly electronic devices such as phones or email, which he has no end of trouble trying to use. An experienced and astute politician - Valeron took the praxis of Canberra in early 2007 from the Invictus, a the same time attaining his admired status within the Sanctified and being annointed a Cardinal by his old time acquantance Cardinal Archbishop Mackenzie DuMont. Lately he has found himself frequently in a role he didn't envisage - that of a tactician and strategist against the Brood. However unlike many of his other Cardinal contemporaries, Valeron leads his troops from the front of the conflict, as opposed to from the rear in some command headquarters.
Recently Valeron hosted a gathering of National proportions in Terra Australis to resolve Country wide issues with giant Insect infestations and Belials Brood. The powerful former Inquisitor, Praetor Abidan of the Brood turned up to the Masquarade Ball and sought to use the Insect infestation and the threatened destruction of the Torero House Solana as leverage points to force the Cardinal to allow him to attend the Grand Elysium the next night. It failed, and as Abidan left the gathering he was dealt Final Death orcehstrated by Valeron.
