Covenant and Church

Brothers and Sisters,
I have spoken to many kindred throughout my years about The Faith. And I have noticed one misconception that comes up time and time again. That is the idea that to follow in the footsteps of Longinus means that you have to join the Covenant of the Lancea Sanctum. And this is just not the case.
In reality there are actually two organizations we are talking about. The Covenant of the Lancea Sanctum and the Church of the Lancea Sanctum. The Covenant is the temporal side; the Church is on the spiritual side. I will explain what I mean by this.
The Covenant represents the political and social part of our Faith. It is the outward and often the most visible sign of our faith. The Covenant fulfills a very crucial role in our faith, but it is not the most important part.
The most important side of our Faith is the Church. It is the inward expression of our faith. It represents in the conscious decision by us to hand over our soul to God. It is giving ourself mind, body and soul to the Purpose God has set out for us. As the commandment says, ”That though you are Damned, your Damnation has purpose”. It is the realization that you do have a Purpose and living it out every night of your life. This is the most important part of our Faith.
It matters not to God if you are Sanctified, Invictus or Carthian, as these are just outward signs of your self. All that matters is that you accept the Church in to your hearts and live by the Faith. For only by doing this do we ever deserve the chance to be Judged worthy of God's love and forgiveness at the End of Days.
