An investigator and punisher of heresies, betrayal, disobedience, and crimes against the covenant. Though an Inquisitor may or may not be among the Anointed, these agents traditionally answer only to a Bishop or Archbishop.

The title Inquisitor confers respect and fear in those who hear the name. An inquisitor is a individual to be feared. They have been given the responsibility to weed-out heritics and herasy within those Diocese they have power. [edit] Confessor-Inquisitor

An uncommonly used title umong the Sanctified is the rare Confessor-Inquisitor. Common for a time in Europe well into the seventeenth century, the Confessor-Inquisitor has become an extremely rare title in these dark nights. They were confered a title of respect and judgement to go forth and obtain confession from all vampires in a Diocese or area. These zealots would go forth and demand confession, requiring it from any they came across and often. Perhaps nightly, weekly or monthly, these confessions were demanded and expected. More so, they were done by even those not willing. These fearful individuals would then follow-through as their confessions ended with the edicts of their position of Inquisitor. Where-as for a Confessor, confession was potentially a brutal and bloody event but never ended in the death of the subject; Confessor-Inquisitor confessions were known to sometimes end in death.
