Know that you are Damned
From LanceaSanctum
Brothers and Sisters,
In these nights all too often we forget the Purpose of our Damnation. We should always keep in mind that we have been chosen between the ranks of mortals not only because of our sins, but also because we had the strength to lead and to perform the work of the Almighty. God directly gave us rules, as contained in the Testament of Longinus.
The Testament teaches us what God requires of the Damned. When God created mankind, He made a pact with him, upon condition of perfect obedience; with Adam’s first sin, mankind chose sin and misery, and became corrupt.
God did not leave mankind to perish in the estate of sin and misery. Out of His goodness, he elected some to everlasting life, to Blessing through Damnation, allowing us to enter a covenant of grace.
It is there that our unlife began. Though we are Damned, we can take part to the redemption for mankind, by being the drinkers of mankind, driving them back to God's light as the wolf drives the straying sheep back to the shepherd, as part of the effectual application of the redemption to man.
What you once were is not what you now are. As a mortal is a sheep, so are the Damned wolves among them. This role is defined by nature: wolves feed on their prey. The role of predator is natural. We do have an effectual calling to this role and by carrying it out, we see the benefits that do accompany or flow from justification, chastisement, and sanctification.
Just as we are wolves among mortals, we must also consider that we have to recognize wisdom and strength within our ranks. Always remind that an ordained hierarchy exists. Man is above beasts, the Damned are above men, a Prince is above his servants, God stands above us all.
And so, brothers and sisters, our mission is a simple one: Know that you are Damned. Know that you have a purpose. If you look for power, be sure you can handle it with this wisdom and strength. If you do have power, be sure you have the might to always guide others, to punish and to bless, with strength, determination and grace. Drive the sheep back to the light, whether they are mortals or Damned ones. Go forth and spread the Word to the rest of the Damned.
I know this can be difficult without a spiritual guide. That’s why I am here tonight, to help you see your Blessing within Damnation, and to offer everyone who is willing to the Rites of Confession and Communion. I will be among you for two other nights, so that everyone wishing to speak to me will be able to do it.
