[edit] OOC Introduction

This book is a creative work, built collaboratively based on the Testament of Longinus as described in White Wolf's Vampire books. This represents a hand translated and hand-scribed version of the Testament that was found in the tomb of a vampire in Poland. It is estimated to be roughly 400 years old.

This book is intended for the exclusive use of the Camarilla, White Wolf's official fan club. Transfer or use of this book outside the Camarilla is not authorized.

This is a creative work, not an authoritative reference. Quoting things from this book does not make you right, this is not official cannon. If you want to quote from this for flavor purposes, go right ahead, but don't expect to win arguments decisively with a single quote from this book.

Thank you to Wade Racine for doing much of the research that allowed this book to be written, by providing a strong outline to be fleshed out. Without your work, this would not have been possible.

Where possible, existing quotes from White Wolf books have been included, though sometimes modified heavily.

[edit] CHAPTER 1

1 I am God's holy monster, the drinker of mankind. 2 For so long, I could not see the role I would play, because I looked for it with human, mortal eyes. 3 So I put forth the truth in these pages, for you who seek as I have sought. 4 I am not some godless beast who stalks beneath the dark grandeur of sanctity. 5 I am the grandeur. 6 I am sanctified.

7 I am a dark mirror to the life of the Christ. His beatitudes are my sins. 8 Seven times over was I damned. 9 Damned for the greed that bought my spear against my fellow Nazarean. 10 Damned for the wrath by which I slew my countrymen at Cesars orders. 11 Damned for the pride that I answered to none for my crimes. 12 Damned for my envy of Jesus's wife, the Magdeline. 13 Damned for my gluttony of wine that clouded my head at all times. 14 Damned for the lust that drove me to rape my mother. 15 And finally, damned for my sloth. Unwilling as I was to climb to the cross and see the Christ dead, I thrust my spear into his side. 16 For these sins, and more, I am damned never again to see the sun, taste food, or desire the touch of another living.

[edit] CHAPTER 2

1 Among the tribes of Israel there was a woman by the name of Livia. Her father brought her to Jerusalem to wed, but they were attacked by raiders on the road, and Livia taken into slavery. 2 She was sold to a ruthless Roman, who taught her to fear men. 3 Livia cried out to her god for salvation but there was no answer. 4

[edit] CHAPTER 12

1 Seeing that Christ was dead, the soldiers did not break his legs. 2 One of the soldiers, however, pierced his side with a spear, and blood and water flowed out. 3 A drop of Christ's blood fell upon the soldier's lips, and he wiped it away with his hand. 4 Yet the next day, he slept past the sunrise, and roused from his slumber only at nightfall. 5 After tasting Christ's blood, he thirsted for more. 6 I know. I know because I am that soldier. [29, VTR 19]
