Often known as the Nepheshim, Mendicant Sanctified undertake harsh Requiems. The Nepheshim range from vampiric drifters to wandering Sanctified prophets. These are the Sanctified who do not retreat to the guarded domains and flourescent nights of the cities, or even to the fast and relative safety of modern trains and airplanes. The Nepheshim wander the earth on foot and act as the Lancea Sanctum’s eyes and hands in the lonely places of the world. They are the explorers of the places between domains and parishes.

Loosely translated, “Nepheshim” means “Hungry Ones.” What they hunger for, besides the Blood, has gone unanswered for centuries. Freedom? Knowledge? Solitude? As the meaning was lost, the name caught on. Tonight, only a minority of Kindred, even in the Lancea Sanctum, remember what the faction’s name means, and so the point goes unexamined.
