[edit] Call to Prayer

Glory to God in the Highest
And on earth, His wrath upon those who embrace not His light.

Praise to Christ, and Longinus His partner,
Whose Wisdom is shelter from a world of sin and darkness

Honor to Saint Monachus, favored of the Spirit,
And by his foresight may all Sanctified see.

In the Names of God,
and Duty to His Curse,

Sum Sanctus.

[edit] Welcome

Et Spiritu Longinus vobiscum.
Et cum spiritu tuo.

Oremus, per omnia saecula saeculorum.
Amen.

[edit] Recitation of the Commandments of Longinus

As we come together, let us begin with the tenets of our faith, the Commandments of our Dark Father. We believe…

First:,
That though you are Damned, your Damnation has purpose. It is the will of God that you are what you are, and the will of God is that the Damned exist to show the evils of turning from Him. The evil become Damned; God has taken those worthy of His love to His own side.

Second:
That what you once were is not what you now are. As a mortal is a sheep, so are the Damned wolves among them. That role is defined by nature — wolves feed on their prey, but they are not cruel to them. The role of predator is natural, even if the predator himself is not.

Third:
That an ordained hierarchy exists. As man is above beasts, so are the Damned above men. Our numbers are fewer so that our purpose is better effected.

Fourth:
That with the power of Damnation comes limitation. The Damned hide among those who still enjoy God's love, making themselves known only to exemplify fear. The Damned shall make none of their own, for such is a judgment of soul that is the purview only of God. The Damned shall suffer yet more should they slay a fellow to take his soul from him.

Finally:
That our bodies are not our own. Our purpose is to serve, and when we stray from that purpose, we are to be chastened. The light of the sun excoriates; the flames of a fire purify fleshly evil. The taste of all sustenance other than Vitae is as ash upon the tongue

In the service of God through the guidance of Longinus,

Sum Sanctus.

[edit] Gospel

A reading from (The Testament of Longinus or other Scripture).

God, be in my mind and in my blood,
And guide to your service my predations.

(The Gospel is read.)

Praise be the Word, the Power and the Glory,
In the Lord our God, through Longinus our Guide,
Sum Sanctus.

[edit] Sermon/Testimonials

(Either the presiding clergy now offers remarks interpreting the reading or commenting upon a matter currently at issue in the Diocese, or the floor is open to congregants' testimonials of their own reaction to the scripture.)

[edit] Creed

Please rise as we declare our faith before God and Brethren:

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, creator of Heaven and Earth, and of all things seen and unseen.

We believe in the Word, Jesus Christ, His only Son, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit to redeem Man from Sin through his death and resurrection.

We believe that at the direction of Pilate, He was condemned to death on a cross, and that before He died and was buried, He did suffer torment before and agony upon his Cross.

We believe that Longinus, by piercing the Savior's side as he hung from his Cross, did reveal the divinity of Christ through fulfillment of the prophecies and that, while Longinus was rightly Damned for his blasphemy and a life of Sin, his damnation was itself part of God's Holy Plan.

We believe that we, the Damned, are the agents of God's will, chosen to receive the Embrace that we may, through the guidance of His Spirit, test the faithful and reveal the divinity within each of them.

We believe that for our sins we are deserving of Hell and yet through the damnation of the Requiem, we may continue to find purpose in God's Holy Plan.

We recognize that the Danse we move to can be boon or bane to the fulfillment of our Holy Purpose, and believe that His Plan for us is best realized in our cooperation and peaceful co-execution of it.

We believe that the end of days will come, when the Son will judge all souls, and that our service to Him as Damned until then may help to make us worthy of His infinite mercy.

The Wisdom of Longinus Be Within You.

And also within you.

[edit] Consecration of the Blood

(The celebrant now presents the Chalice, placing it before himself on the altar.)

We give thanks to God, the Holy Father, almighty and eternal Lord,
With his Son and the Holy Spirit,
You are one God; not in the unity of a single person,
But in the trinity of a single nature.
We believe in the full revelation of your glory in these aspects,
And do not discriminate between Father, Man or Spirit.
We serve all, and in confessing the true, everlasting Godhead,
Do adore distinction in Persons,
Oneness in being, and equality in Majesty.
This the Angels and Archangels, and the whole Host do proclaim,
Day and night they sing His glory in one, myriad voice.
We thank Christ and his partner, Longinus,
For the mercy of our Damnation on earth, where we may serve Him.
We pray that the Spirit will guide us, through our Faith,
To know preying as our Purpose, to serve the Faith of Man.

Graciously accept, dear God,
Our thanks for your mortal Son,
Whose mercy upon Longinus and
Divine Plan gave purpose and hope
To we who deserve hellfire.

As the Blood of the Mortal Christ awakened Longinus to his evil and its purpose,
May this blood sustain us as we strive to keep the herd on the Lord's path.

(Celebrant raises cup.)

In the name of the Father, Man and the Spirit,
Through the long trials and wisdom of Longinus,
We pray, Lord, for consecration of this Blood.

As Christ said unto his apostles:
"For this is the Chalice of my Blood of the new and everlasting covenant: the mystery of faith:
which shall be shed for you and for many unto the forgiveness of sins."

(Celebrant lowers cup, raises hands.)

Because Blood is all that ever made us human,
To a Hunger for Blood are we eternally Damned.

Because we are Damned to Earth and not Hell,
In Blood do we serve Him hence our Death or Salvation.

(Celebrant shares cup with congregation.)

[edit] Testimonials

(If a Sermon is given following the Scripture, the congregation is asked to offer Testimonials of faith following the Communion of Blood. Alternately, this time could be used for more testimonials at a service where many congregants wish to share their Faith.)

[edit] Prayer for the Sanctified and the World

Dear Father Above,
As we face these troubled nights,
Of seemingly endless Kindred conflict,
We pray that the guidance of the Testament,
And the protection of the Traditions, will lead us to find peace among ourselves.
We pray for temperance, that we may master the Beast within,
And channel its dark desires to your work and the betterment of Men.
We pray for strength and wisdom for Sanctified clergy,
That they may see how best to lead the Damned in leading mortals to you.
We pray for the leaders among us, that their worldly concerns
May fall away as they take up their true roles as a guiding hand for lesser Predators.
We pray for the mortals, that in fearing our darkness, they will find light.
Last, we pray for mercy, for we are not worthy of this duty for which you have chosen us, Lord,
And pray that when we fall, when we fail, and if we die,
Your light, or a mere memory of it in Hell, may always remind us of your gifts.

In the name of
God, the Father,
God, the Spirit,
God, the Man, and
His Servant, the Spear-Bearer,
Go forth and fulfill your Purpose.

Sum Sanctus!
