Cardinal Marcus Dirae is the Pater Familias of a lineage of Nosferatu many of whom hold faith with the Sanctified. Though found mostly within the Northeast Region there are Dirae all over the United States.

This clan oriented household of Nosferatu is headed by Josephine Mattox of the First Estate, and claims a very large number of Sanctified. Josephine herself was rumored to be descended from an even older line of Sanctified Nosferatu and is well known for her piety and support of the Second Estate.
