=== Character Impression === Sabineah is a gentle yet powerful individual. If one observes her at a distance, her body language is so stern, it is almost masculine in confidence and yet eerily feminine in beauty. She prefers to surround herself with powerful, confident and loyal individuals as her close allies. She has been known to make herself available to guide females toward a much more empowered existence, but does not often befriend them or allow them to become close to her – she does not easily trust that which she believes to be emotionally weak. It is known that she offers much to the mortal world of women, as she has brought numerous souls from their lives of repudiation to enlightenment… and continues her struggle to bring women out of abuse, addiction and strife filled lifestyles almost as if it’s a personal vendetta. Her work with the damned is more subtle, and more political – but none the less fervent.

  • Sabineah was converted from the Ordo Dracul to the Sanctified by Gabrael of Richmond along with Wei Fong who became known by many as the White Dragon – he who walks the line between both covenants. Wei Fong was her mentor and became her brother through their time of loyalty to one another. Her greatest personal rival within the Dragons was Lau. Sabineah faltered within the predominantly male covenant of the OD because, in her opinion, she was female… the Dragons however, simply thought her young and impetuous.
  • She is known to have despised Lady Vivian of the Invictus who served as the Scheneshal of Richmond under Gabriel, The Unkempt as well as off and on during the revolving door of Princes to follow his death. As far as most know, they were Rivals in most every aspect of their lives. Sabineah believes that Vivian’s weak-minded influence was the cause of her childre, Anatoly’s, failure in his own requiem.
  • Sire to Anatoly of the Dragons. When she converted to the Sanctified, Anatoly remained with the Dragons under the tutelage of Lau. Lau advised Anatoly to further his connections with the Invictus, specifically through his relations with Vivian. It was during this time that Sabineah released Anatoly completely, allowing him to choose his own path, and thus the feudal-wall was set solidly between them.
  • Sabineah served as one of Richmond’s most stable and reliable Royal Harpies through several Praxis changes – including during the time considered the “age of revolving door praxis” in Richmond. She believed being awarded higher standing within the community was dependent upon not only following the rules but also in what you were able to do and what you actually did for the City, and could care less on how well or how little you were liked by everyone. This neutrality brought about much animosity toward her by some in that they thought they could befriend their way to higher standing rather than actually earn it. She continued to serve the City loyally until the downfall of her Triumvirate finally occurred… which she openly considered another fall of the City to it’s vice of Gluttony.
  • Sabineah was believed to be power-hungry and politically motivated as she moved quickly from a lay-person to Acting Bishop of Richmond shortly after converting to the Sanctified. Her motivations were however, very non-secular in that the Sanctified of Richmond had become shattered and she believed it her calling to step in and mend that which had been broken – so did so without question and with the strength of a predator much more seasoned than she herself was at the time.
  • Owner and Proprietor of The Richmond Court District located Downtown off of and part of the Canal-Walk underneath the W. Commerce Rd. (S.9thSt) Overpass and Robert E. Lee Bridge Overpass – with a pleasing view of Belle Isle across from the shared embankment. Located in this District are Bastians and Phyre, both of which are Sabineah’s personal establishments, and Tian Tan Long – the temple of peace offered to Richmond by the Admired Wei Fong, White Dragon of Richmond. The temple is now secured by Wei Fong’s father, The Abbot Tso, a Dragon hailing from Hampton Roads. Gabriel has also been known to share his claimed area located within the borders of the District with Sabineah peacefully.
  • Under the Praxis of Jack Adrian, Esq., the Dragons awakened one of their own, Charlamagne, who was known to have committed diablerie and thought to have met his final death to the hands of Wei Fong. Charlamagne’s first victim upon awakening was Anatoly, Sabineah’s childre - in his own bed, in the Dragon’s lair of Maymont… Upon hearing of this news, and realizing there was no kindred in Richmond willing to assist her in an effort to seek revenge, Sabineah assisted Prince Fox in his desire to remove the threat of the monster – and in doing so, successfully called upon and thus caused the monster to set his sites on making her his next prey victim. Because of the threat on her requiem, and because of Richmond having turned their backs on her – she knew that she, and any one who would attempt to protect her in Richmond, would not be safe from Charlamagne – so she fled… and hasn’t been heard from by Richmonders, or much of anyone since her disappearance.

[edit] Mortal

  • As a mortal she was the only daughter of a rich family who’s primary business was breeding, training and housing horses for racing and anyone rich enough to afford the cost. The Larkin family owned a large portion of land outside of New Orleans after moving there from Scotland.
  • She graduated in the top 2% of her class in highschool, and finished her college coursework in under two years via a private tutor program because the family traveled and Sabineah was always expected to go along with them.
  • The family purchased a large estate in Manakin-Sabot Virginia (several miles West down Staples Mill – rt.33 from Richmond or Henrico County). Sabineah would spend time at both the Richmond and New Orleans estates throughout the years before her embrace.
  • Spoiled child of rich parents who payed little attention to her... she was well known in the party and night-club scenes all over America and Europe. She was often seen in tabloids alongside famous partiers and often accused of being addicted to various drugs and quite often drunk. She eventually began frequenting BDSM clubs enjoying the darker scenes that night-life could offer.
  • 1978, She was participating in Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and met a charming fellow by the name of Latane (lat-ney) he would eventually become her Sire.
  • 1978-1986 Sabineah and Latane spent all their time together. He was very posessive & tried every way he could to get Sabineah to sober up and get her life straight... but she didn't care about much at that point in her life... nothing except partying and whatever good time came along with it.

[edit] The Embrace

  • 1986 Latane found Sabineah passed out, near death in the room they shared in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Not knowing what else to do to save her from herself, he embraced her. She hated him for what he did to her, but he had her trapped and kept her that way, hoping he could convince her to see things his way. He kept her secluded or at least by her side whenever they were out and about, there were very few times Sabineah was left alone to chat with anyone for more than a minute or two before Latane would clutch her arm & move along... she did meet many individuals during this time - but only a few of whom she would remember or have had time enough for them to remember having met her then. She realized that her only escape would be her convincing him of her loyalty. So, she began telling him she believed the way of 'enlightenment' he constantly preached to her, waiting for when she was strong enough to be able to leave safely... which wouldn't be for several years to come.
  • 1992, Her parents died on a plane traveling to Switzerland crashing in a storm. Latane finally had enough trust in her that he let her return to Richmond so she could arrange and attended night-time ceremonies for the burial of her parent's remains on the family property. The entire fortune of Larkin Estates was left to Sabineah. (She is still the primary owner of the Industry, but has a corporation who runs the business.)

  • 1993, (moved to Richmond) Sabineah and Latane had a final falling out and she was able to escape from him because she would not support the cultish ways he was attempting to cultivate. Threatening to expose him if he didn't let her go, he vanished into the shadows and they haven't spoken since. She came back to Richmond and has made the City her primary home.

  • 1995-1996, Sabineah's business offer her opportunity to travel all over - so she enjoys the freedom of late night dinner meetings across America and Europe.
  • 1995, Sabineah meets and embraces Anatoly while on an extended business trip in New Orleans. It was a haunting deja vous episode as she remembered her own embrace. Anatoly reminder her so much of herself, so powerless against the addictions that were controlling such an empty and suicidal existence - for a fleeting moment she believed she could save Anatoly the way she was saved, but caught up in her emotional moment, she had forgotten the torture she experienced in her embrace and the hatred she had toward Latane for what he had done to her - and, once it was over - she knew it should never have happened. She tried to do right by him, but much like her attitude toward Latane - Anatoly never did fully accept her attempts to make amends.
  • 1995, Sabineah is finally introduced to the Gatherings which she had yet to attend. She began learning about the ways of Vampires. She becomes Acknowledged.
  • 1995, Sabineah begins her business ventures in Richmond City. She, along with 2 business partners related to the larger banks in Richmond, form a group which focuses on rebuilding downtown Richmond. She becomes primary owner and proprietor of what is now known as ‘Richmond Court District’.
  • 1996, Bastians and Phyre are established & modification of the old warehouses and underground storage facilities begins. This is quite an undertaking and there were many bumps in the road… but it eventually happened.
  • 1999, Sabineah finally officially joins the Ordo Dracul covenant & begins her studies as a Dragon. Being a hard-headed, independent and stubborn individual, she refuses to assume a mentor for several years… in fact, she has very little interaction with the other covenant members in Richmond until the beginning of 2005.
  • 2005, Sabineah becomes political under her now official mentor, Wei Fong. She begins to become much more involved in the City’s matters.
  • 2005, November - Sabineah is converted by Gabriel to the Lancea Sanctum and leaves the Ordo Dracul.
  • 2006, Sabineah serves Richmond as Royal Harpy and becomes Acting Bishop for a time.
  • 2006, May - Sabineah holds Synod to save Gabriel from excommunication and is successful.
  • 2006, June 10th - Sabineah undergoes a purification ritual - preceeded over by Brother Christian and observed by Lady Katje Dirae along with the other members of the Lancea Sanctum of Richmond. A flurry of molotov cocktails breaks up the ceremony, but Sabineah is safely buried and watched over for the duration necessary.
  • 2006, June 12th - Her beloved brother and mentor, Wei Fong is murdered by an opposing faction in Richmond.
  • 2006, June 17th - Sabineah is unburried.
  • 2006, July 1st - Sabineah learns of Gabriel'sdeath by crucifixion in the morning sun.
  • 2006, July 12th - Sabineah learns of Anatoly's death and the 14th that he died by the hands of Charlamagne via diablerie.
  • 2006, July - September, Sabineah in deep mourning, slowly but surely cuts ties in Richmond and eventually loses all contact with Richmonders - she all but disappears in hiding both from Charlamagne and what she claims to be a City gone mad under the praxis of the Carthian Jack Adrian, Esq..

  • 2007, June 12th - An abstract sculpture is donated to the fine arts museum (the books say from VCU). It is encased in a glass box and each week a fresh bunch of white-lotus blossoms are set inside of the box. Each month the sculpture appears slightly different as if pieces are being removed from a puzzle. It is titled "family" and the artitsts name is not noted.
  • 2007, July 12th - An abstract sculpture is donated to the fine arts museum (the books say from VCU). It is encased in a glass box and each week a fresh bunch of red-roses are set inside of the box. Each month the sculpture appears slightly different as if pieces are being added to a puzzle. It is titled, "embrace" and the artists name is not noted.
  • 2007, August - Gabriel returns to Richmond.
  • 2007, October - Sabineah makes an appearance at the Grand Ballo in Memphis Tennessee, she is reacquainted with and/or introduced to everyone in attendance and hearing that the current Bishop of Richmond (Innocent) judged her ally, Evangeline De La Cruz, as Apostate causing Eva to flee to DC, Sabineah reclaims her standing as Acting Bishop for the Westminster Creed of Richmond and will return to settle the dispute.
  • 2007, October - Sabineah returns to Richmond for the first time with Gabriel. With intentions of negotiating the safety of Evangaline de la Cruz, establishing a place for the Westminster Creed in Richmond and hopes for peaceful camaraderie. However, the Cardinal Rui Fernandez makes an out of the blue and surprising decision by steping in and staking Gabriel citing that he made a decision that Gabriel's life was his property, and that Gabriel's Requiem will be safer now from those who would otherwise destroy him. Christian fell to delusions of diablerie having lost his faith and his hope was diminished with the staking and removal of Gabriel. Evangaline's place in Richmond was negotiated, though she was not safe to remain in Richmond that night as was stated she would be - so Sabineah provided her safe escort away for her fate to be worked out on another night.
  • 2007, October - Another abstract sculpture is donated to the fine arts museum (the books say from VCU). This one entitled "Betrayal" and the artists name is not noted. Through the twisted metal and stonework of the piece, you feel questions of 'what?', 'why?' and may see a heart sinking and you can almost sense a feeling of hopelessness... the piece spins in circles and thus adds to the confusion the piece inspires. Quite moving to say the least.
  • 2007, October - After experiencing yet another disappointing night in Richmond, Sabineah can't wait to leave, so she returns to Hampton to enjoy time with her ally, The Abbot Tso. Over the course of the next month or so she only returns to Richmond to oversee her property, her business' and work out arrangements as she finds necessary. Sabineah contemplates her place in the Covenant and plans on furthering her objectives for her requiem - realizing that Richmond is still corrupt and alien to her - she remains a part from the City as considers her options outside of their internal strife.
  • 2007, November - When seen at gatherings or around, Sabineah carries with her various needle-point projects. She is using a hobby to help her remain focused and alleviate some of her stress.

  • Acquaintances are just that, we've met - talked & swapped emails, perhaps done business together at some point. Bastians and Phyre are both known Dominatrix clubs, they have served as a good starting point in the past for making acquaintances here & there.
  • Allies would most likely be individuals with whom Sabineah formed a strong bond. She doesn’t claim many to be ally, but when you are, she will treat you with respect and would likely do everything shy of, and possibly including, giving her life to honor the friendship.
  • Adversaries - Be creative, she's basically a snobbish bitch who is emotionless to most, but passionate about her emotionless... I'm sure she's snubbed off someone out there more than once. But she's not in need of any "I'll do anything to get Sabineah Killed" ties.
