Sophia Romanova, Bishop of Greater Phoenix, The Confessor, Harlot of God, is known to be a member of the Lancea Sanctum and the only female childe of Aleron of Ahzwale, the patriarch of the Luminarians. With striking sapphire eyes and waves of dark curls, it is little wonder that few bother to resist the lure of sharing a bed (or any other convenient surface) with The Harlot. As to the rest of her appearance, she bears a defining tattoo of henna on the back of her left hand; it is an intricate design of a shield, a rose, and a sword, set in circular links that vaguely resemble a traditional Indian slave bracelet.

Little rhyme or reason can be attached to the fairly nomadic nature of this faithful Lance. Eastern Europe, Asia, Europe, and Africa have all been the grounds upon which Sophia prayed, received confessions, and ministered quiet advice to those who sought her wisdom. Time was irrelevant. If Sophia settled into a city, her passion drove her to nurture and protect that domain.

Throughout the ages, Sophia has been known to be involved with respected and admired members of nearly every covenant, including the Ordo Dracul, the Invictus, and even the Circle of the Crone. While her affairs have never been monogamous, there is little question of her devotion to her lovers and allies. The Harlot certainly does not discriminate; she is known for her equally passionate attraction to both male and female vampires. Betimes, lover and ally is combined within one body, and is rumored to be the case with notables such as Mirandia and Nicholas Ebonof the First Estate, Alexander Thibedeaux of the Carthian Movement, and Xavier Ellison of the Ordo Dracul.

The enigmatic Confessor arrived in North America circa 1917, ostensibly heartsick of the Great War and its ravenous consumption of the hale continent that she adored. Sophia spent a scant few years on the outskirts of Chicago, but soon took haven in Boston with Cardinal Marcus Dirae. Following her mysterious disappearance in 1973, Sophia resurfaced in Los Angeles on the eve of the praxis triumph of her beloved childe, Barnabus Kensington. Recently, Sophia responded to the Call of God and the needs of her Covenant, relocating to Arizona following the successful removal of the heretical Quintus Alexander. In Phoenix, The Confessor is coming into her own as a more national and global educator and advisor, aided by her close associations with those of other covenants.

When not attending to her Diocese, other Lancea business, or vampiric society demands, Sophia spends a significant amount of her time composing, singing, and recording under her newest mortal persona, "Sveta Lysenko". A phenomenal composer, the angelic and sultry singer has recently released her first Compact Disc under her own private label. Those who have witnessed her sing would be hard pressed to determine whether song or sex is more capable of igniting the legendary passion of the Succubus.
