Tollison Creed
From LanceaSanctum
Virgil "Junior" Tollison drafted the Tollison Creed in the 1920s. He was a former Pentecostal minister from the American South. He rejected the lassitude of the Westminster Creed and the ritualism of the Monachal Creed. It remains almost exclusive an American creed.
Best known for their white robes, followers take a personal approach to their beliefs. They reject the hierarchy and the clergy-laity dichomtomy. Instead they refer to all Sanctified, regardless of rank or status, as Brother or Sister. They have strict feeding rules, never feeding on members of the opposite sex, children, drunks, druggies, or married mortals. Although they do not preach any prejudice, they remain mostly conservative, lower-class, straight, white men.
Although they avoid most rituals, they practice the Rite of the Serpent, feeding on a poisoned mortal to trigger visions. They also practice the Fire Dance, which involves leaping through a fire in a religious frenzy.
